Man, I don't belived this but, interest rates just dropped again today from yesterday.  Interest rates are the lowest  since January of this year.  For a 30 year fixed mortgage it's hovering around 6.25 % & for a 15 year fixed it's just below or at 6%.   With the inventory of available homes for sale compared to last year .... the inventory of for sale homes has more than tripled.  Talk about a "Buyer's Market"  now is the perfect time to buy here in Whatcom County because of multiple choices for a new home & the financing that's availble to make housing more affordable.

Location, Location is what Bellingham, WA. is all about.  For instance …driving time to Seattle from Bellingham is approx is 1 hour & 45 minutes of which is only about 90 miles South of Bellingham.  To travel North through the border into Vancouver, Canada it’s only approx. 51 miles away of which should take you approx. 1 hour & 11 minutes.  And if you’re into the snow skiing, Whistler in B.C. Canada is only 128 miles away with travel time at approx. 3 hours & 23 minutes away. 

Agents wanting more exposure of their weekend Whatcom County are using a new website designed to making it easy to find public Open Houses.  This site, www.WhatcomOpenHouses.com  enables the viewer to choose between Saturday or Sunday Whatcom Open Houses & then to select an area, such as Bellingham Open Houses, Ferndale Open Houses, Blaine-Birch Bay Open Houses, & Lynden Open Houses.  Each listing that is featured comes from Whatcom County Real Estate Agents who have submitted their ad.  The site features a Map tab for driving directions along with a slide show of multiple photos should the listing agent submit more than one photo
